Roy – The Rare Gem

Chapter : 1

The First Day at School

Rajendran aka Roy is an orphan in his mid teens who lives in an orphanage in Bhopal. Despite his raging hormones and strong fascination towards female navels, he is kind-hearted and broad-minded in addition to being studious.

Roy is now in seventh grade and this day is his first day. He sits quietly in class, patiently waiting for his class teacher to show up.

A few minutes later

Roy’s class teacher eventually shows up. She’s an attractive unmarried woman in her mid-20s. Her name is Chaitali. She teaches maths for the students for the students from 6th to 10 grade. She always wears low-waist sarees to school and her navel occasionally peeks out of her saree.

All the students stand up.

CHAITALI: Good morning, dear students.

The students say “Good morning, Madam” in a chorus.

CHAITALI: Please sit down.

All the students are seated on their respective benches.

After Chaitali introduces herself and giving all the students in her class to introduce themselves, she commands all of them to take out their respective math textbooks.

CHAITALI: Before I start the lesson, let me ask you a question. What are integers? Can anyone of you stand up and say?

Roy raises his hand and stands up.

CHAITALI: Yes? Go on.

ROY: Integers are a set of numbers that include all whole numbers and their negative counterparts, as well as zero. They do not have fractions or decimals.

Though Roy is right and Chaitali is impressed by the way he answers, she keeps her calm and asks another question to test him a little.

CHAITALI: Okay. Nice. What do you mean by a negative counterpart?

ROY: Minus of any number is its negative counterpart. For example, -3 is the negative counterpart of 3.

Chaitali smiles satisfactorily.

CHAITALI: Great. Now let me ask you another question. What is the positive counterpart of -6?

Roy responds with a smile.

ROY: It’s “plus” six.

Chaitali is impressed again.

CHAITALI: Correct!!! Brilliant!!!

Roy smiles warmly at Chaitali.

ROY: Thank you, Madam.

Chaitali smiles back at Roy.

CHAITALI: No problem, dear. Can I ask another question?

Roy responds with the same warm smile that he’s still having.

ROY: Go ahead, Madam.

Chaitali smiles and nods.

CHAITALI: Alright. Are integers really useful? Yes or no?

ROY: They are indeed useful.

CHAITALI: Useful for what?

ROY: Integers are used in counting, ordering, and various mathematical operations. They are mostly used for checking temperatures.

Chaitali is further impressed by Roy’s response.

CHAITALI: All of you give him a big clap.

All the students clap for Roy who smiles warmly. Chaitali walks upto Roy and pats his shoulders.

CHAITALI: Excellent!!!!!

Roy smiles warmly at Chaitali.

ROY: Thank you, Madam.

CHAITALI: No problem, dear. Please sit down.

Roy, with the same warm smile, is seated on his bench. Chaitali then starts teaching the first lesson in maths on the very first day. Roy listens to the class while also occasionally and silently glancing at Chaitali and her beautiful navel that occasionally peeks out of her saree.

Chaitali also gives notes and everyone, including Roy, takes out the notebook and starts writing. Even while writing, Roy occasionally glances at Chaitali and her beautiful navel.

A few minutes later

Chaitali is now standing close to Roy and watching him writing and solving mathematical problems in his notebook. A few seconds later, Roy finishes writing. Chaitali, who is still standing close to Roy, asks him to give her his notebook. Roy gives the notebook to her. Chaitali goes through the notebook page-by-page and she smiles at Roy as all answers were written correctly. She pats his shoulders. He smiles at her warmly.

CHAITALI: Good. Keep it up.

ROY: Sure, Madam. Thank you.

CHAITALI: No problem, dear.

As Chaitali gives Roy his notebook back, her navel is exposed again. Roy’s eyes widen and he enjoys the close-up view of Chaitali’s navel. But after a few seconds, he immediately turns away in order to avoid getting caught.

(Like this)

But Chaitali notices Roy glancing at her navel yet decides not to be mad at him as he’s good at studies and this is the first day. She also finds him well-mannered despite his naughty side.

After the bell rings, Chaitali exits the classroom, indicating that the first period is over.
