Chapter : 4

Dinu’s Study Time

Set on the same day and directly after the events of the previous chapter

Time skip to the part when the sun has set just a few seconds ago and Dinu has just taken bath and is wearing a fresh set of clothes.

Ganga has taken bath too and is wearing another saree. But unlike the last time when her navel was vividly peeking out, this time it’s covered.

After Ganga is done making dinner, she walks into the room where Dinu is seated on the bed and is studying. Ganga sits on the bed next to him.

GANGA: Dinu ma!!!!!!

Dinu turns his face towards his adopted mom.

DINU: Yes, Amma?????

GANGA: What are you doing?

DINU: I’m studying.

GANGA: Which subject?

DINU: History.

Ganga’s eyes widen and her excitement sparkles.

GANGA: Wow!!! Nice!!!! May I know about what you are studying in history?

DINU: Designing of sculptures.

Dinu senses Ganga’s curiosity and grins mildly.

DINU: You like history?

Ganga laughs softly and pinches Dinu’s cheeks.

GANGA: Yes, Dinu ma. I do.

DINU: Wow!!!

GANGA: Shall we study together?

Dinu smiles with excitement.

DINU: Of course, Amma.

Dinu and Ganga delve deeper into the study of the ancient Indian sculptures. As they study further, they come across the pic of an ancient idol.

Both are fascinated by the beauty and the detailing of the sculpture in the pic.

DINU: WOW!!!!!! Brilliant detailing!!!

GANGA: Of course, chellakutty!! It’s indeed a brilliant detailing. So much of dedication and focus required for this kind of work.

Dinu’s eyes widen and he nods his head in agreement.

DINU: I see!!! I’ll keep this in my mind.

Ganga pats Dinu’s head.

GANGA: Good. Let’s continue.

DINU: Yes, Amma.

Dinu and Ganga continue from where they left off.

After 45 minutes, they finish reading the lesson. They then discuss with each other with an exciting smile on their faces.

GANGA: Dinu ma, the chapter was really awesome. I feel like reading that again.

Dinu chuckles softly.

DINU: Really? Shall we read that again?

Ganga responds with a great excitement.

GANGA: Of course, chellakutty.

Ganga and Dinu read that particular chapter in history again. After a few minutes, they finish reading. Then they smile at each other with great excitement.

GANGA: Even if I read this chapter for more than 100 times, I won’t get bored.

DINU: Same feeling, Amma.

Ganga gives a nodding smile.

GANGA: I see!!!!!! Can you do something now, chellakutty?

Dinu responds with a curious smile.

DINU: What is it, Amma?

GANGA: I want you to draw a picture.

Dinu looks surprised.

DINU: A picture?

GANGA: Yes, chellakutty. I want you to draw a picture similar to the pic in the lesson we read today.

Dinu thinks for some time and then nods his head.

DINU: Okay, Amma. You go and start making dinner. I’ll draw the pic and once done, I’ll show it to you.

GANGA: No.

DINU: What do you mean “No”? How else do you want?

GANGA: You guess.

DINU: What’s there to guess? Maybe you want to see me drawing.

Ganga laughs and shakes her head.

GANGA: No, Dinu ma. It’s something else.

DINU: You will stay here until I draw the picture and show it to you, right?

Ganga laughs again.

GANGA: Yes, chellakutty. But there is also another thing.

DINU: Only after I draw the picture and show it to you, you will start making dinner. Am I right?

Ganga laughs again.

GANGA: Yes. There is one more thing.

Dinu looks confused and he starts wondering what that “one more thing” is. He tries hard to get ideas but in vain. Thus he gives up.

DINU: Amma, I have got no more guesses. You say it.

Ganga laughs softly.

GANGA: I’ll pose like one of the idols featured in the pics in your history textbook. You have to look at me carefully and draw. Okay?

Dinu’s eyes widen and he heavily blushes.

DINU: Really? Is that what you want?

Ganga laughs at Dinu’s question.

GANGA: Yes, Dinu ma. I’ll pose like one of the ancient idols. You have to draw a portrait of me using pencil.

Dinu thinks for some time and then he agrees.

DINU: Okay, Amma. I’ll draw a portrait of you.

Ganga smiles and gently pats Dinu’s cheeks.

GANGA: Alright. Shall we begin?

DINU: Of course, Amma.

Ganga removes her pallu and is only in a blouse and skirt like in the pic given below.

Ganga then smiles nervously.

GANGA: I hope you won’t judge me for it.

Dinu chuckles faintly.

DINU: Don’t worry, Amma. I won’t judge you. I’m not that narrow-minded.

Ganga smiles warmly and pats Dinu’s cheeks.

GANGA: Thank you, chellakutty.

DINU: No problem, Amma. But before I start drawing, I have a small request.

GANGA: What is it, dear?

Dinu looks a little bit anxious.

DINU: Can I plant just one kiss on your thoppul?

Ganga laughs softly and ruffles Dinu’s hair.

GANGA: Of course, chellakutty. Go ahead. Kiss as my times as you want.

Dinu smiles excitedly.

DINU: Thank you so much, Amma.

GANGA: Hey, no need to thank me for this.

Dinu chuckles and leans in to plant a kiss right on Ganga’s deep navel. Ganga smiles and moans mildly, enjoying the kiss.

Ganga giggles and ruffles Dinu’s hair.

GANGA: That was nice, chellakutty. You can plant some more kisses on your Amma’s thoppul if you want to.

Dinu smiles humbly.

DINU: Thank you for giving me permission, Amma. But only one for now. Because I have to draw a portrait of you.

GANGA: OH yeah!!! I know. I won’t forget that.

DINU: Okay, Amma. Now I’m going to start drawing. Please give a pose.

Ganga chuckles softly.

GANGA: Sure, Dinu ma.

Ganga poses exactly like in the pic given below.

Ganga continues to stand in this pose as she patiently waits for her beloved adopted son to start drawing. Dinu picks up an unruled A4 sized sheet of paper and his pencil. He looks at his beloved adopted mom who is posing and he starts drawing. Ganga keeps her calm, composure and patience and continues to remain in this pose as Dinu is still drawing and she doesn’t want to disrupt it.

Dinu makes errors and erases them to redraw the picture repeatedly. Ganga continues to remain in this pose without moving even a little bit in spite of the delays caused and keeps her hope and patience alive.

After a long struggle and repeated attempts,

Dinu shows his drawing to Ganga. The latter looks at it and is impressed before giving the former a tight hug.

GANGA: Just perfect, chellakutty.

Dinu smiles and enjoys this tight hug from his beloved adopted mom but he also feels sorry for making her wait for too long.

DINU: Thank you so much, Amma. I’m glad you like my drawing. But I’m also sorry for making you wait for too long. I made errors while drawing and I had to erase and draw again. And it repeated for “n” number of times. That’s why I took so long to finish my drawing. Really really sorry, Amma.

Ganga smiles and caresses Dinu’s head.

GANGA: It’s okay, Dinu ma. It’s alright. Just for you, I remained in the particular pose until you finished your drawing.

Dinu’s eyes widen as he is surprised.

DINU: Oh!!! Really?

Ganga laughs softly and ruffles Dinu’s hair.

GANGA: Yes, chellakutty. I didn’t move even a bit at all.

Dinu is impressed.

DINU: Wow!!!! Unbelievable.

GANGA: You must believe.

Dinu grins mildly.

DINU: Okay, Amma. I believe. Now it’s dinner time.

Ganga chuckles and ruffles Dinu’s hair.

GANGA: I see!!!!!! What would you like to have for dinner?

DINU: Just something simple.

Ganga grins mildly.

GANGA: How about some veg cheese sandwich?

Dinu smiles warmly.

DINU: Oh yeah!!!! That sounds good. I think I can join you in that. I’ll cut the vegetables and you toast the bread slices.

Ganga smiles warmly back at Dinu. She then breaks the hug.

GANGA: Of course, Dinu ma. That sounds great.

DINU: So, shall we go to the kitchen now?

GANGA: Sure, chellakutty. But before that, I want to ask you something.

Dinu is curious.

DINU: Go ahead, Amma. What do you want to ask?

Ganga sighs.

GANGA: The kiss that you planted on my thoppul before you started drawing. Now can you do that again?

DINU: Now?

GANGA: Of course, Dinu ma.

Dinu chuckles softly.

DINU: Sure, Amma.

GANGA: This time, plant multiple kisses, that too firmly and deeply. Can you do that for your Amma?

Dinu chuckles softly.

DINU: Definitely, Amma.

Ganga is still without pallu. She stands in a position ready to receive few more kisses on her navel from her beloved adopted son.

Dinu wraps one of his hands around Ganga’s bare waist and plants a deep, firm and long kiss right on her deep navel. Ganga smiles warmly, moans mildly, and enjoys the kiss.

Dinu plants few more similar kisses on Ganga’s deep navel and then he pulls back. Ganga looks at Dinu with a satisfied smile.

GANGA: That was awesome, chellakutty.

Dinu smiles back at Ganga.

DINU: I’m glad you enjoyed that, Amma.

GANGA: Of course, chellakutty. How can I resist it?

Dinu looks astonished.

DINU: Wow!!! It seems like you might ask for some more.

Ganga laughs softly and ruffles Dinu’s hair.

GANGA: Indeed, chellakutty. I’ll definitely ask for some more. Maybe after dinner.

Dinu gives a nodding smile.

DINU: I see!!!!

GANGA: Yes. Definitely. Now let’s start preparing dinner.

DINU: Sure, Amma.

Ganga puts back her pallu and then heads to the kitchen, followed by Dinu where they both start preparing dinner.
