Chapter : 7

A Memorable Delight

The winner of the competition was declared and it was Chitra and Abdul. They received the award to the applause of the crowd, but Chitra was searching for Karthick in the audience and could not find him. It seemed he had left the venue a few moments prior.

Chitra was frustrated and expressed her disappointment to Abdul, saying, “This isn’t what we agreed on. I never expected you to cross the line. I’m sure Karthick wouldn’t have approved and that’s why he left. Why did you do it? I don’t think it was necessary for us to win.”

Abdul responded in a sad voice, “Didi, I told you earlier that this was part of the improvisation. I was just trying to do my best to impress the audience. I’m sorry if I did something wrong.”

Chitra replied, “I’m not questioning your intentions, Abdul, but it wasn’t necessary at all, especially the last part. I don’t understand why you did it.” With that, she left the venue in a hurry along with Siddharth.

As they walked along, Siddharth couldn’t stop complimenting her. “Mommy, you were amazing! I couldn’t believe what I saw. The way you captivated the audience was out of this world!” Chitra was so lost in thought about Karthick that all she could do was give a slight nod in response to her son’s words. “Okay Mom, I’m going to see my friends now.”

Upon entering the house, Chitra went straight to her room to look for Karthick. When she didn’t find him, she called out, “Karthick, are you there?”

A response came from Krishna’s room, “Yes.”

Karthick was struggling with his dad to take his medicine and that was when Chitra realized she had forgotten about it.

“Oh, I’m here now. Let me handle this,” Chitra said.

It was the first time Krishna had seen her in such a seductive outfit. His eyes widened like a parched man seeing water in the desert. He shouted, “Maalini!” As usual, Chitra was successful in her mission. In the process, her waist received quite a few squeezes from Krishna.

“Karthick, are you okay? You left before the announcement,” Chitra asked in a soft voice.

“Yes, Chitra. Someone had to take care of Father, right?”

“I’m sorry, Karthick. I completely forgot. I apologize,” Chitra said.

“That’s okay. So, you won, huh?” asked Karthick.

“Yes, we did,” she smiled. “You seem a bit down. Is something wrong?”

“Karthick, I can tell that something is bothering you. Is it because of the dance?”

“Well done, Chitra! You’re a genius for figuring it out.”

“I didn’t expect him to be so bold, but at the end of the day, we came out on top.”

“When you say ‘we,’ are you referring to him and me? Because I don’t feel like a winner.”

“Karthick, if you weren’t comfortable with the idea of dancing with him, you should have said something beforehand.”

“I didn’t have an issue with you ‘dancing’ with him, but can we really call it a dance?”

Despite her attempts to make amends, he remained distant and unresponsive towards Chitra.

Chitra adjusted her saree in a manner that accentuated her physical features and her navel was fully revealed. She walked towards him with a seductive gait and pulled him close.

“You can rest easy, this area is under your name and doesn’t require any concern.” Mentioning that she gently caressed her stomach. Even though she tried to bridge the gap, Karthick remained aloof and unresponsive, maintaining a prolonged cold expression and refusing to look at her.

As she approached the door in response to the ringing bell, she found Abdul waiting outside. A surge of anger washed over her, but she composed herself and let him in silently.

“Didi , here is the prize money. I apologize if you think I went too far; my only intention was to win the competition.” Chitra was experiencing conflicting emotions. On one hand, she felt a great deal of anger towards Abdul for what he had done, and for the way it had caused Karthick to become upset. On the other hand, she also felt a sense of sympathy for Abdul, as she knew that he was generally a very shy person and that his actions had likely been motivated by a desire to win the competition. To Chitra’s surprise, Karthick arrived and congratulated Abdul. He praised their performance and Chitra silently thanked him in her mind for not displaying any anger in front of Abdul.

Karthick promptly retrieved a bottle of red wine from the refrigerator along with a couple of glasses, and offered it to them saying, “ celebrate, guys. Enjoy a glass.” Chitra felt content to witness Karthick’s hospitable side, especially in the presence of Abdul.

Abdul acknowledged, “Karthick sir, I must give credit where credit is due. You allowed us the freedom to perform, and I appreciate that.”

Karthick responded sarcastically, “Oh, as if you needed my permission to perform?”

Chitra and Abdul exchanged confused looks. Chitra then scolded Abdul for taking things for granted. Abdul appeared upset and tense, while Chitra was also feeling upset.

Chitra: “Abdul, I can’t believe you did that during the dance competition! How could you be so inappropriate and unprofessional?”

Abdul: “I’m sorry, Chitra. I got carried away in the moment.”

Chitra: “Getting carried away is no excuse, Abdul. You can’t just go around doing whatever you want without considering the consequences.”

Abdul: “I understand, Chitra. I’m sorry .I promise to be more mindful in the future and to always act professionally.”

Abdul also offered his apology to Karthick, while Chitra nodded in agreement. However, she couldn’t help but think that this might not be enough to appease Karthick’s anger. Chitra’s tone was laced with anger as she instructed Abdul to take a seat on her living room couch. She deftly adjusted her saree in a manner that highlighted her beauty and she made sure that her entire ripe belly was visible. Abdul and Karthick appeared baffled as Chitra struck a seductive pose, a playful smile on her lips. Chitra always knew how to win Karthick over and she did precisely that.C hitra pulled on her saree in a way that made her navel visible. The saree slipped down to her hips, revealing her toned figure and leaving very little to the imagination. It seemed as though it was on the verge of falling off her body entirely at any moment. She looked stunningly beautiful. She approached Karthick with a slow, alluring gait. She reclined on the table and drew him nearer. Chitra spilled the red wine onto her bellybutton.

Chitra : “Please feel free to have a sip.” Chitra ensured that Abdul had an unobstructed view of the proceedings. Karthick quickly took action and placed his head on her belly. Chitra moved slightly but did not make any sudden movements. Karthick began to explore her midriff by kissing it all over in a slow and gentle manner. He focused on the sensitive area around her navel and gently licked it, causing her to giggle. He then slurped the wine slowly, savoring the taste. Throughout the incident, Chitra made sure that Abdul was watching them and often made eye contact with him.

“Baby, keep going and make sure this area is completely clean and no trace of wine is left”. She gave Abdul a mischievous grin, which caught him off guard as he was left speechless. Karthick who was visibly agitated a while back, but now he appeared to be a completely transformed individual. He looked like a child filled with delight upon seeing the new toys.
